Most payment problems are solved by completing 3-D Secure or OTP, retrying after 2 minutes, or switching to Bank Transfer or USSD in Paystack. If you are charged but still on Free, send your account email and Paystack reference - we will fix it.

Bank Transfer pending Transfers usually confirm in <=5-10 min. If longer, share proof + reference.
Duplicate charge Share both Paystack references; we will refund the duplicate after verification.

Invoices/receipts Dashboard -> Subscriptions; or request via Contact.

Cards (Visa, Mastercard, Verve)

Why was my card declined

Common causes: 3-D Secure or OTP not completed in time, daily spend limits, issuer outage, card set to POS only, or insufficient funds.

Fix: Retry after 2 minutes, keep the OTP pop up in front, or enable online or international in your bank app. You can also use Bank Transfer or USSD in Paystack.

My 3-D Secure or OTP did not arrive

Check SMS or in app notifications and network signal. Some banks send OTP inside their app. If you miss the window, retry.

Can I pay with a dollar USD or a virtual card

Yes if your card supports online or NG payments. Some virtual cards block merchant category codes or 3-D Secure. If it fails, try Transfer or USSD.

Will my bank charge FX fees

We charge in NGN. FX fees appear only if your card or bank treats the transaction as international.

Bank Transfer (Paystack)

How it works

Paystack shows a virtual account number and exact amount. Send the transfer from your banking app; it typically auto confirms in <= 5-10 minutes.

Transfer pending for too long

Share your account email, Paystack reference, and transfer proof; we will help reconcile.

I sent the wrong amount

Contact us with proof; we will guide next steps such as a top up or reversal path via Paystack or your bank.

USSD (Paystack)

USSD timed out / failed

Redial and complete the flow in one session; ensure a strong signal. Some banks cap USSD amounts - use Card or Transfer if it keeps failing.

Limits, controls and bank quirks

  • Daily online limits: Many banks cap per day or per transaction online payments. Raise the limit in your bank app, or use Transfer or USSD.
  • International or online switch: Some cards default to "POS only". Enable online and or international payments in your bank app.
  • Maintenance windows: Late night bank maintenance can interrupt OTPs or confirmations - retry later or switch method.
  • New cards or first use checks: Your bank may block a first time online charge until you approve it in app.

Charged but no Pro access

  1. Wait 2-3 minutes and refresh Dashboard -> Subscriptions.
  2. If still on Free, contact us with: account email, Paystack reference, date or amount. We will activate Pro and reconcile your payment.

Tip: The Paystack reference is on the success page, email receipt, or bank SMS.

Duplicate charges and reversals

  • Duplicate charge? Send both Paystack references; if confirmed, we will refund the duplicate.
  • Bank "reversal": Some banks auto reverse failed attempts; funds reappear without our action. If you still see two settled charges, message us.

Receipts, business invoices & details

  • Receipts: Dashboard -> Subscriptions after each successful payment.
  • Business invoice: Request via Contact with your business details (name, address, email, date or reference).

Finding your Paystack reference

  • Check the success page, Skillzonia or Paystack email receipt, or your bank SMS; it looks like a string of letters or numbers.
  • Can not find it? Your account email plus date or amount is enough for us to look it up.

Security reminders

  • We never ask for your OTP, full card number, or PIN.
  • Only pay through Skillzonia's official checkout with Paystack.
  • If something looks off, stop and contact us.
